President Li Xincao Meets with the Presidents of the Conservatorio Luca Marenzio Brescia and the Conservatorio di Musica Giacomo Puccini Update Jun 06 2024

Recently, Li Xincao, President of the China Conservatory of Music, met with Alberto Baldrighi, President of the Conservatorio Luca Marenzio Brescia, and Carlo Balzaretti, President of the Conservatorio di Musica Giacomo Puccini, respectively, and signed inter-institutional cooperation agreements. During the meeting, President Li Xincao welcomed the two visiting presidents. They had an in-depth exchange on cooperation in music education and reached a series of important consensuses.

During their meeting on May 31, President Li Xincao and Prof. Alberto Baldrighi discussed future cooperation between the two institutions in several key areas. Both sides intended to leverage their respective strengths through strategic cooperation and international exchange platforms, and deepen collaboration in educational resources, academic research, and talent cultivation, with the aim of fostering high-quality art professionals with a global perspective. Prof. Alberto Baldrighi strongly agreed with this and looked forward to further cooperation.

On June 5, President Li Xincao met with Prof. Carlo Balzaretti. They discussed potential collaborations between the two institutions on program development, course credit transfer, and student exchange programs. President Li emphasized that these collaborations would help broaden students' international horizons and cross-cultural communication skills. Prof. Balzaretti also presented on the Conservatorio di Musica Giacomo Puccini, highlighting their program for Chinese international students. The two sides also intended to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Italian opera composer Giacomo Puccini's death through collaboration, and promote the exchange and integration of Chinese and Italian musical cultures.

The China Conservatory of Music will further strengthen cooperation with major music institutions in Italy, fostering innovation and progress in global music education, and contributing to the cultivation of internationally competitive musical talents.
