On the morning of October 18th, Mr. Huang Hu, the Vice President of the China Conservatory of Music, held a meeting with a visiting delegation from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in the UK. The delegation included its President, Mr. Anthony Bowne, and the Dean of its Music School, Mr. Aleksander Szram. During the meeting, both parties exchanged cooperation agreements and engaged in in-depth discussions about their future collaborations. They shared their respective excellent experiences from recent years and worked towards deepening mutual understanding between the two institutions. Director Jin Ye and relevant staff from the International Exchange and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Center also attended this important meeting.
Guided by Vice President Huang Hu, President Anthony Bowne and Dean Aleksander Szram had the opportunity to visit our campus and were cordially invited to observe the rehearsals of both the Chinese National School of Music Symphony Orchestra and the Chinese Traditional Orchestra. President Anthony Bowne expressed his hope for future collaborations with our music ensembles to create outstanding works together.
Subsequently, Vice President Huang Hu and President Anthony Bowne exchanged cooperation agreements between the two institutions and engaged in detailed discussions about the direction of their future collaboration. Vice President Huang Hu, representing President Li Xincao, extended a warm welcome to the visiting guests and engaged in an extensive discussion with Dean Aleksander Szram. The discussion covered five key aspects: joint undergraduate student training, joint graduate student training, overseas teacher training, cooperative practice, and student exchange programs. Dean Aleksander Szram introduced the teaching characteristics of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and provided detailed answers to the questions raised by Vice Dean Huang Hu, including matters related to credit exchange.
Following the meeting, President Anthony Bowne expressed great anticipation for the cooperation between the two institutions and extended an invitation to Vice President Huang Hu to visit the UK for on-site inspections. This visit would provide an opportunity for further discussions regarding future international cooperation and exchange projects between the two schools.
