Recently, in the ongoing NPC & CPPCC, WANG Liguang, member of CPPCC National Committee and President of China Conservatory of Music proposed to introduce  “Everlasting Classics” to primary and secondary school’s students to pass them on. Chen Baosheng, minister of education, responded positively to this proposal.

Minister Chen proposed three measures in order to strengthen the popularization and penetration of traditional Chinese culture for primary and secondary students: cultivate excellent teachers who love traditional Chinese culture; increase the proportion of classic works in teaching materials of primary and secondary schools and strengthen the school environment in traditional Chinese culture.

It is the common wish of educators to let the children take root in traditional Chinese culture, be nurtured and become a role model for the future generation. China Conservatory of Music will play a more and more important part in China’s education development.
