Wu Zhiwu, male, of Han ethnic group, is a member of the China Democratic League. He was born in September 1972, holds a postgraduate degree and a degree of Doctor of Literature, and currently serves as a professor.

He has previously served as the Director of the Development Planning Research Center, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and Director of the Teacher Development Center at Xinghai Conservatory of Music. He has also held the position of Minister (Director) of the Academic Affairs Department (Teacher Development Center) at Xinghai Conservatory of Music and Head of the Education and Teaching Center of the China Conservatory of Music.

In March 2024, he assumed the position of Vice President of the China Conservatory of Music, with a probation period of one year.
